Marley Spoon is a well-funded food-tech startup that is re-inventing the grocery supply chain and bringing delightful, market-fresh and effortless cooking to people all over the world. We are an English speaking and international team made up from seasoned entrepreneurs and  professionals.

 

Our chefs create inspiring and mouth-watering recipes every week. You select what you would  like to cook and we deliver the recipes and all the ingredients you need. We use technology to re-invent the food supply chain while reducing unethical food waste and directly connecting consumers with quality producers. In order to achieve this, we are solving challenging problems in taste profiling, behaviour prediction and real-time logistics.

 

But in the end it's simple: We started Marley Spoon because we love cooking and we love eating.

 

 

Your Job:

  • Drive PR for the Marley Spoon brand across social media, print, web, and television
  • Concept, develop, and launch PR campaigns to drive brand awareness and acquisition
  • Coordinate with Culinary, Design, and Product on key projects, opportunities and campaigns
  • Develop a PR calendar, including events to expand awareness of the Marley Spoon brand
  • Build and develop relationships with media and social media influencers to position Marley Spoon as a innovative food delivery service inspiring home cooks
  • You will be using data to continuously optimise your activities with an intention to scale successful activity
  • Working from our office in Alexandria, Sydney reporting to the MD of Marketing and PR
  • Managing the development and editing of external facing copywriting (PR, offline and online channels) so as to maintain consistent brand voice
  • Working with the marketing and content managers to develop a content strategy for the marketing function
  • Working with the marketing team to develop beneficial brand collaboration opportunities to grow positive brand perception

 

This is you:

  • 3+ years of PR experience, in-house or with an agency
  • A solid knowledge of food, lifestyle and the Australian media landscape with an existing contact list
  • Existing relationships with social media influencers
  • Astrong analytical mindset and a performance-driven approach to PR (experience with Google Analytics desirable)
  • Demonstrated writing abilities, a flare for creative content writing, and strong communication skills
  • Highly motivated and a team player, excited to work with a great team of global entrepreneurs and  partner cross-functionally to create brand awareness and memorable campaigns
  • Take initiative, seek opportunities and ask questions when necessary
  • A passion for food and can identify yourself with our product
